What is HELiMESH™?

HELiMESH™ is a 316 grade stainless steel Safety Net system specifically designed for offshore helicopter landing decks on Oil and Gas Platforms, FPSO’s and other offshore vessels.

The HELiMESH™ Advantage

The HELiMESH™ helideck nets are manufactured from extremely high grade materials such as 316 grade stainless steel wire and components, so HELiMESH™ should easily outlast the lifespan of the facility, even in the harshest offshore conditions. This means no more costly and repeated change-outs of traditional inferior products.

Most importantly, unlike other netting systems HELiMESH™ will not perish and lose it’s strength due to UV exposure offering a continuous high level of safety and in the worst case scenario, if there was a fire on the helideck HELiMESH™ will not ignite or burn.

Furthermore, the HELiMESH™ helideck safety net is fitted to the existing helicopter landing deck perimeter structure via a series of individual stainless steel straps as opposed to being ‘laced’ to the helideck perimeter structure like most other systems. This gives HELiMESH™ a distinct advantage:

Where a traditional safety netting system is laced to the helideck's perimeter structure and sustains damage to the lacing, the entire netting section can very quickly become unsecured, posing a serious risk to personnel. As each HELiMESH™ helideck net is secured by numerous individual stainless steel straps the panel is still safely secured in the event that one or more straps are damaged.
